Sir Francis Bacon deliberately inserted Fantasy Animals and various codes and ciphers into the Bible so that anyone with an ounce of sense could see that this work is mainly myth and legend.
Here are the most notable and obvious alarm bells which some fundamentalists actually believe to be true.
The Cockatrice.
Isaiah 11:8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.
This is so ridiculous. Encyclopaedia (Newnes Popular) Basilisk - To the ancients the basilisk or cockatrice was a dragon-like creature before whose withering gaze and flaming breath every living creature except the cock perished. The name was used in the 16th century for a large brass cannon. It is today used for a crested lizard found in tropical america. The tropical American basilisk a type of crested lizard which is equally at home in trees or in water, and the cockatrice as used in heraldry, a dragon-like creature whose gaze only the cock could withstand.
The cockatrice appears to have been a 12th century invention and on that account alone should make the observant reader sit up and shout out, "Hey wait a moment....!!!!"
The original - from the Dead Sea Scroll of Isaiah:
KJV Verse number in brackets
(8) And the infant shall play
26. on the hole of an adder and the toddler shall put his hand on the viper's den.
A viper is a snake and nothing like a dragon or lizard. There are more references to cockatrice in the KJV, and all appear as vipers in the dead sea scrolls.
Satyrs
Isaiah 13:21 But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.
Original from the Great Scroll of Isaiah (DEAD SEA)
KJV Verse number in brackets
(21) And desert creatures shall lie down there 29. and their houses shall be filled with jackals and relatives of the owl shall dwell there and wild goats shall dance there.
The Satyr was a legendary animal half man half horse. Sir Francis must have been greatly amused when he changed goats into Satyrs.
Unicorns
Isaiah 34:7 And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.
Original from the Great Scroll of Isaiah (DEAD SEA)
KJV Verse number in brackets
(7) and the wild bulls shall come down with them and the oxen with 8. the bulls and their land shall be drenched with blood and their dust made fat.
It is hilarious, but the faithful really believe these mythical creatures exist, just because one very clever man edited the Bible and played a few tricks with King James, the Buffoon.
